Driving by our facilities, located at the corner of Bridge Street and Foothill Road, in Monticello, Illinois, you will see a brand new building! Construction has come a long way since the tornado destroyed our old Sanctuary on October 24, 2001. The building is now bricked, there is a nice drive-through on the West parking lot, an additional parking lot has been added on the East side, and a beautiful round stained glass window picturing a cross graces the South end.

Inside the new building, considered still under construction at this time (10/03) you will find our new Worship Center (with some finishing touches yet to be completed), a large foyer with entrances from both parking lots, a roomy hallway connecting the old building, new and larger restrooms (a little remains to be finished in these also), and a new larger kitchen and fellowship hall. We still have some electrical work at this time to be finished which is keeping the dry walling of part of the interior from being completed. But the bulding is being finished and most of it is useable now. Praise the Lord!

Our Lord Jesus Christ is truly blessing our church in other ways besides the new building. Many "new" faces can bee seen in our congregation. Since January of 2002 through October 15th of 2003, twenty-nine (29) "new" members have been added to the Calvary Baptist Family. We have three (3) people waiting at this time for baptism and then they will become members as well. These new members have come to our church through believer's baptism, member baptism, transfer of membership or through statement of faith. Our "growing" family is also seeing the many "new" faces of visitors (guests) God has been bringing into our Bible Studies and Worship services. "New" ministries have been and will be birthed as well to meet the needs of both our members and our community. New ones already established include a prayer ministry and a jail ministry.

We invite you to come and see for yourself how the Lord Jesus Christ is blessing Calvary Baptist Church in our community. Perhaps He is calling you to become one of those "new" faces! Sunday Bible study is at 9:30 AM and Worship is at 10:45 AM and 6:00 PM. Our Youth Group meets at 6:00 PM each Sunday. Wednesday Midweek activities begin at 7:00 PM and include mission groups for children and youth and prayer and worship for adults. We look forward to having you join us for the worship of God.
