Calvary Baptist Church is a local fellowship of baptized believers in
Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord. Our church cooperates with the East Central Illinois Baptist Association, the
Illinois Baptist State Association, and the Southern Baptist Convention. Our congregation was established
in 1960 and today has a membership of over 250 people.
Calvary Baptist exists to serve its Lord and to minister to the community of Monticello. We seek to bring area
residents to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ and to nurture that
knowledge into a mature faith in Him as the Son of God.
Calvary Baptist's goal is to be a home for God's people to worship Him
and where they can fellowship with other believers. For this purpose and
goal we commit ourselves to our Lord and Savior!
